DAY 1: SAIGON ARRIVAL (No Meal)

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, we’ll be greeted and transferred to hotel for check-in and tour briefing. The rest of the day will be at own leisure.

DAY 2: SAIGON & CU CHI TUNNELS (B)

After breakfast we drive west to the lush green suburb of Saigon to explore the legendary tunnels of Cu Chi. At its height, the tunnel system stretched over 250 kilometers and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of underground life during the second Indochina War. After Cu Chi, we return to town and continue sightseeing with the best known sites in the very center of Saigon such as the Reunification Palace, the War Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Post Office, the City Hall, the Opera House, Ben Thanh Market, etc.

DAY 3

SAIGON – MEKONG DELTA – SAIGON (B/L)

We leave the hustle and bustle of Saigon behind and journey to Mekong Delta, a world that lives and works on the waters. Arriving in My Tho, a prosperous town just 80 km from Saigon, we take a boat to an insular village to visit family workshops producing handicrafts and candy from coconut. Tasting seasonal tropical fruits in an exuberant orchard, we ride a horse cart to a typical Delta house and enjoy folk music by amateurs. Proceed by local sampan through the small canals and side arms of the river to further experience river life. For lunch we’ll sample regional specialties such as Elephant Ear Fish, Rice Ball, etc. After a pleasant break we come back to Saigon for the night.
